2009 2010 Helmets

I dont have a copy of the blue book available as not yet applied for license. Can anyone advise what the regs are. I understand they are changing but what to?

I have an FM BS6658. is this still eligible?

Maybe, it must be the type A/FR (fire retardant)

From the 2009 Blue Book:

91. All MSA and International Events
• FIA 8860-2004
• SNELL SA2005
• SNELL SA2000*
• SFI Foundation 31.1A, 31.2A
• BS 6658 Type A/FR
* May be withdrawn with effect from 01/01/10.
92. All MSA Events
• BS 6658 – 85 Type A (Type ‘B’ is not acceptable)*
* Withdrawn with effect from 01/01/10.

is it the SNELL SA 2000 or the BS6658 A/FR which "MAY" be withdrawn next year?

I am a bit confused by location of the *

cheers

For the avoidance of doubt...

The asterisk is solely against Snell SA2000 in the bulleted list.

Yes. The way I understand it - in 2010 the BS Type A only will definatly be withdrawn - the Snell 2000 may be withdrawn.

All the others (including BS A/FR) are good.
