I believe the regs cascade down as follows;

First, section J (Vehicles) and K (safety) - including L (Tyres)
Then the specific section for the type of discipline - section S for sprints, Hills and drag racing
Then any Championship SR's
Then any event SR's

Steve

Re. cascading. For those who want to read the current general regs that apply to all of us:

http://www.msauk.org/site/cms/conten...p?article=1122

+ for the stuff that only & specifically applies to us:

http://www.msauk.org/uploadedfiles/m...Racing_(S).pdf

BTW I think the stuff in red means it used to apply, but doesn’t anymore.

Might be an idea to bookmark these so you can quickly get back to them?

Would the Mods like to add those links as “sticky” links/threads/posts so new posters don’t have to continually ask for questions to which there are answers?

there is nothing in the blur book about max wing size diamensions for saloon cars. the max hieght of 900mm is for racing cars as is the overhang.
I spoke to a MSA tech guy at cadwell a few years ago and he couldn't tell me ethier!

There is reference to front wing in the new book page 325
(maximum front aerodynamic devive hight Not to exeed the top of the front wheel rim)
I dont see anything regarding rear wing.

Allan, I think that Red Turner has quoted correctly. Not sure where the reference is in the BLUE BOOK but pretty sure that it will be in there somewhere!

There are some 2012 blue book tweeks that allow Allan to run a rear wing up to the height of a closed car as long as he declares himself to be a 'Sports Racing Car'.

I was refered to the rule some time ago Steve after falling foul with the wing on the old Clubmans car. I tried to claim 'period defined' and he quoted the rule almost verbatum. I checked when I got home and he was correct, which I already knew of course and had to chop some 6" of the supports The size of the actual wing elements as NOT defined, only the position etc.
