I have only, this season gone to a full face and like you, though for maybe differant reasons, I hate it and it is going to be a lot worse next season when I have to use a hans device. Goggles have had their day, go for a helmet with a visor.....
David why the need to use a Hans device next season? This is for your foreign events I hope and not in the UK?

Yes Richard, sadly the FFSA/FIA have dictated that all competitors including 'demo' drivers have to wear the hans. We have got away without for a couple of years but it has now been made compulsory. My main problem is the fact that with a full face helmet I have great difficulty doing up the scrotch straps as I cant see anything because of the chin bar and I have nowhere to put the helmet whilst I am sorting myself. At Thoresby a couple of weeks ago I got away with hanging my helmet on to the mirror arm and I was able to do things up. With the hans in place I am hoping to be able to be secure in the car and then put the helmet on and hopefully secure the hans latches as the last job before putting my gloves on. With open face it would have been so easy.....

Going off tack a bit noticed in the photos of the Dan Weldon fatal crash that his head had come well forward, do they not use HANS in Indycar?
