Alistair Naismith
Its with profound sadness to announce Alistair passed away this morning, his family with him.
As yet I dont know the details for the funeral, I will however post this when I know for those who can come along. I great loss to hillclimbing and a great loss as a friend. George Emmerson |

I was saddened by the news. Nice bloke and someone who worked hard on behalf of the sport and especially Lothian Car Club.
Just glad that us Sassenachs enjoyed his company at Shelsley last autumn. |

Alistair was at the last Doune and was very moved by all the people that approached and spoke with him there. He is survived by Margaret and three of those kids you see running around at Doune, Rachel, Jill and Holly . He never lost his sense of humour as is eveident by his choice to be buried in his Lothian Car Club shirt. Anyone wishing to send condolence it is the usual address (if you don't know PM George or me)
(picture shamelessly stolen from 2t4t) Al, even though your best result was second in class, you were always the winner with us. |

Couldn't agree more.
The pilgrimage north will never be quite the same again.
