Aries Locost GSXR

Some of the more longstanding members may remember my ongoing Locost project.. well it's back with a few subtle changes! The most major of which being a new 'Aries Motorsport' chassis, of which at least 20 of which have been produced in the past 12 months = Mod Prod rather than Libre.

Having had great fun competing in this for the past couple of seasons:



we decided it was time for a bit more power and some RWD fun on the hills, time to rekindle the dormant Locost project!

New chassis from Aries with full FIA spec cage:



Out with the old....



Trusty old oil-cooled gixer engine in (for now at least):

Fired it up to check for good oil pressure etc (its been standing for the best part of 7 years!):

Adapted rear uprights to take 240mm discs and 205 rear calipers in order to fit 13" wheels:



Clutch slave cylinder mounted



Shiny custom 4-2-1 exhaust



Got my dad working on the electrics, hoping to get it out sometime this season.

The 205 has taken on a new look and is being used for a few 12 cars
