Beer at AutoSport International?

A few of the Scottish competitors will be meeting for a beer at AI next week and any of you folks would be more than welcome to join us.

This will be at the Wetherspoon's at the NEC.

Now, there appear to be two Wetherspoon's at the NEC ...

1) Wetherspoon Birmingham : The Piazza (NEC).

2) Wetherspoon Birmingham : The Atrium (NEC).

The one we'll be in is the second one (i.e. The Atrium).

The best site map I can find is here (PDF).

Different people going down on different days but my pal Murray and I are down for three days ... so, Murray and I will be in The Atrium Wetherspoon's at 16:00ish on the Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

I will make a small flag for our table so we can be recognised ... it'll look something like this ...

BTW, the reason we're staying down 'til the Saturday is so we can go to the Coy's auction and maybe have a cheeky bid on this.

Hope to maybe see some of you there.

Cheers,

Eric

Woah there fella!!! ... at no point did I suggest that Murray and I will be waiting 'til 16:00 either.

At AI, we usually work on that basis that, because you can't see outside, it's academic where the sun is in relation to the yardarm. Indeed, we both have special watches which pretty much read "red wine 'o' clock" all the time.

The 16:00 time was suggested for others who are, perhaps, less enthusiastic when it comes to these things.

Cheers,

Eric

Hope you get a bit of time to pop and say hello Eric. I am on stand 7027 - Plays Kool Motorsport. Would have liked to go to the bar, but I suspect we might be very busy selling all the 3 Layer Race Suits we have

Nothing quite like a pint of beer in a plastic cup I wonder how much they'll be charging this year?

Anyone got any free tickets BTW?

Yes Nick, Murray and I will most definately pop past.

Since, pretty much, all of my kit was trashed ... or cut off me ... I'm in the market for quite a lot of gear ... so I hope you're feeling generous.

Exactly why we proposed Wetherspoon's ... glass glasses ... and a fraction of the price of the bars in the halls.

Cheers,

Eric

Look forward to seeing you and we always make sure we look after our friends from the Sprint & Hillclimbs especially if you want the full kit out
