I have been to visit it Graham and it looks to be a good track. It also has a Sprint Licence. So as Competition Secretary I have booked the Westfield Sports Car Club (WSCC) to organise a weekend's sprinting there 1st or 2nd weekend in May next year.

If any other clubs would like an invite to this event then let me know. Promises to be a good event on a great new track. Which I think in the long term will be a popular sprinting venue we certainly need some more.

Looks excellent, just a shame with the video that the rear view mirror that gets in the way of seeing what comes next.

Dependant on hire costs and availability this could become an important venue. I look forward to visiting when we finally get a sprint meeting.

Used to do a few track days at Blyton but it was always avoid the pot hole, looks like they have spent some money on it. It used to be 1/2 tarmac and half concrete. The track looks good in the video

Does anyone know whether any sprints are planned for 2012 and which clubs may be involved with the venue?

Not sure about any others Craig, but this is looking pretty definate for the WSCC to run a 2 day weekend event on the first weekend in May 2012. We will need support from other clubs, so anyone that is interested please contact me. 1 club already has and is included

Hi Nick, sorry I misread your original email ~ the perils of reading webpages on a tiny phone, with failing eyesight!

We already have a full calendar of events for Longton (best 10 out of 21!) but it was suggested that I look for one extra new venue to add a bit of variety and this one is a possibility. I will discuss with the committee and get back to you, although early May is a fairly busy period for our championship.

Looks an interesting venue.

Cheers, Craig
