Brilliant Harewood

Huge thanks to the organisers and especially the Clerk of the Course at Harewood on Sunday. Amy suffered a broken drive shaft on the start ...it was being repaired down at the start as quickly as was possible. She was told that she would be able to run at the end of the first timed runs and just ahead of the run-off ....IF it was finished in time !
Fortunately we did finish in time ..she was allowed her first timed run and then Morgan took his ! This is just one of the reasons I think Harewood is a brilliant venue, they concentrate on "hillclimbing" and make it a pleasure to be there ! Harewood is run by enthusiasts for enthusiasts and they realise it is a hobby.
I have not forgotten a certain clerk at another venue refusing me my run because I was out of numerical order !!!!! He could learn an awful lot from Harewood .

I second that completely , had clutch problems on practice day and once rectified it was a case of chuck the car up the hill as many times as possible regardless of what batch was running at the time , have never run at a more friendly well run hill which is why we return so regularly from Jersey

I have to echo everything Sandra says, Harewood is a fantastic hill. A big thank you to the organisers for letting us both run and also to Bill (Tomlin), Pilbeam Mick and James Ritchie for helping us get the drive shaft changed in a record 20 minutes, all done by the start line! By the end of the day we were all absolutely shattered but a class win and a fantastic PB by Amy gave us enough energy to continue smiling all the way home!

Harewood meeting

How many events could you be on the way home at 4.00 Sunday afternoon having done 9 runs over the weekend - fantastic organisation - I did drop the organisers an email first thing Monday to say thanks but - thanks again anyway ! (I know it helps not having to return batches but anyway !) John Bradburn
