You can always put a turbo up the exhaust pipe - tends to quieten them down a bit, for the noise test anyway

Good idea Darren!!! The worst part of it all is that the idea has come from committee members within the club and NOT from government or environmentalists groups where one would expect something like this to come from!!!

Anyway, AGM was held last Thursday and nobody brought it up again, so I guess you could say "we have remained unsilenced"!!!

Bernie Ecclestone does occasionally talk sense. Only very occasionally.

In a recent discussion about noisy racing cars he commented that the two greatest things about motor racing are Ferrari, and the noise.

I give him 5 out of 10 for that, my 5 going to the noise.

Whoever comes up with such daft ideas as silencing racing cars? I've been involved in racing for 50 years now. We never had such daft legislation then. Why all the fuss now ?

I do not know what regs you run to in Victoria but in NSW we conform to the CAMS manual spec which is 95db at 30 metres.
