Well the diff issue was not isolated Moley, I have had 2 fail and I have also rebuilt 2 for other people this year with the same issue.
They have changed the design of the parts by the look of the new ones they sent but (they say not)
but I have sold all but one of my Tran X ones and am going to change to a "Gripper" diff for next season.

I spoke to Tran X and explained why I was unhappy and was told it would be looked into and that I would get a call back but guess what ....................No call.

Anyhow I will not recommend Tran X to anyone in the future and have removed their decals from all the cars which is a shame as over the years I have set many dozens of records with their stuff and have been a loyal customer from pretty much the beginning.

Sad times when companies forget where they came from.

If so, I agree.

You are probably right Graham, but the companies concerned will surely be given space by the mods of this forum to defend themselves and explain what appears to be bad practice or otherwise. No-one needs bad publicity these days but sometimes in seems to be the only way. It would appear from the posts concerning these matters that the firms have been given ample chance to rescue a bad situation.....Remember seeing a sign in a shop some years ago which read, 'If you like our service tell others, if not, tell us'.....

It looks like Bunman did tell them, but they seemingly weren't bothered, so he now tells us to avoid other people further problems, if you wish to deal with them, then go ahead. But forewarned is forearmed!

Hi Graham, I spoke to 3 seperate members of staff many times during the course of this year and they all had the same carefree attitude.

To top it all the new unbreakeable half shafts that I bought earlier this year (having twisted the end off one with 100ft/lb torque!!) are no longer available as they have changed the design (not that there was a problem .........??)

So I had to buy a new pair at great expense and now have one thats good for nothing.
Basically told I was lying and there is no way it would happen with such little torque. I said could it be a heat treatment issue and again it was flatly denied.

Believe me I tried to reason with them but there comes a time when enough's enough.
