For the track layout, doesn't the MAC sell a poster of the hill with radii, elevation, etc?

Bez, I can supply a datalogger run file which will provide the corner radius, speed, g, etc that my car takes (not the radius of the actual track of corse....or even the correct radius to take...or even a good example of speed, g, or...).

Matt

Decent time!! Sounds almost an insult to the driver!! Not intended..

Looking for what the driver/team would consider to be the near best time possible from the vehcile they were using! Can pick up most times from Shelsley web site but they dont supply other details for me to use in the analysis.

Just to everyone knows.. im not making some robot car to race the track..Thst would take the fun out of it!!

Hi Bez

Sounds a neat project --- I reckon the difficult bit will be the data on the HP of the cars ---- the timing information will be easy, accurate and consistent.--- The geopraphical data will be obtainable to high levels of accuracy.

As for the power from the cars ---lots of them will never have been near a dyno and those that have will have been on lots of different makes (and levels of accuracy and operator competence) --- Most drivers have a guestimate of how much power they've got (I've got several spanning 50hp depending on who I'm talking to, and I'm sure none of them would stand up to scrutiny )

Good luck

K

Have a few friends in DemonTweeks who have good contacts but still have same problems!!
