Thanks for all the info, guys - will start planning the trip, and be reassured gsyracer that the prayer mat is being dusted off to make sure of good weather! (Thought it never rained in the Channel Islands...!)

By the way, I'm an ex hillclimber/sprinter who had to give up due to ill health, but the bug still bites. However, I do find spectating is a lot less stressful, if not so much fun!!!
