Terrible indeed.
Although not a great rally fan I was always a big Colin fan. A good all rounder, car driver, bike rider and pilot. Not bad on a set of spanners either.

A sad and mighty loss.

I was a huge fan - I was there when he won the British Championship, his first RAC, and when he won the World Championship. He nearly killed me on my first visit to the RAC rally (I was stood in a ditch - he clearly thought the ditch was quickest route)

Friendly, fast and fearless - not a bad way to be remembered.

Thoughts are with his immediate family

Terrible news, couldn't believe it when i ready the ticker-tape on BBC News 24 this morning.
I agree with the comments above, not just a driver but biker and spanner man too, not to mention a pretty good ambassador for Britain.

So, that's Richard Burns and now Colin McRae gone.
Sucks nard, big time.
