R888 SG's are good if you can get hold of them, failing that, GG's are a close second.

Kumho V70's are as good as the Toyo or Yokohamas but a bit cheaper from camskill tyres

Might be worth letting us know what class you intend to run in and what championship/events as there is no consistency across country (as yet) to what tyres can be run.
They are currenlty split into list 1a and list 1b (see the blue book). Some clubs allow both to be run in the road going classes, others do not and only allow 1a tyres. Makes your choice a lot more difficult. |

Thanks so far for all the help/advice.I hope to run mainly up in Scotland in the road car class with maybe the odd event in England next season.

I think the road classes in Scotland allow 1b tyres, so trackday type compounds. In the southern hemisphere we are on list 1a tyres, which will affect which class you can enter.
Enjoy yourself ,however you shod the car

Stunner Scuda or Marangoni Zeta are probably the softest compound list 1a tyres
