Costs

Considering my options for 2012

Can someone tell me the cost of MSA type Sprints and Hillclimbs please.

Entry fees?
Registration etc?

I'm well aware of wear cost to the car and the cost of running it and travelling.

Any further information would be appreciated.

Currently located in the deep south of Lincolnshire.

Don't forget the cost of your license (~£40/year) and the cost of your Helmet (£150 upwards), race suit (£200 upwards) and gloves (£30 upwards). I also have boots (£50 upwards), nomex underwear (£50 upwards) and I'm thinking about HANS (£400 upwards) just to be sure.

Starting out on club sprints/hills is the only sensible way. They are local, almost half the cost of high profile events, you typically get many more runs & your entry wont be rejected. Even basic, mandatory safety equipment is expensive (several hundred quid for helmet, overalls, boots & gloves, simply to have a go), but ensures you are much safer than you are when driving quickly on the way to the event - ultimately that's your choice.
