Curborough outright track record
Yesterday I saw the 15 year old Curborough outright track record set by Roy Lane of 26.84 broken by the current British Sprint Champion, Nick Algar in his Gould GR55
He actually broke it twice, first by recording a 26.72 and then going on to clock a 26.69 Well done Nick

Track Record
Yes congratulations and well done to Nick, I saw it too and I was lucky to be there when Roy Lane set the previous record. Will this be Curborough's final record before its rumoured demise? Lets hope not.

Track Record
Does anyone know if any track records are still held by Roy Lane and If so which venues?

Putting that in context, Gary Thomas BTDBTDBTD in May 2010 was 22.88s in a 1070cc Suzuki GSXR Force. It's a tight & twisty place not really suited to very fast cars. There isn't much room to slow after the finish, which I think Roy found out! Craig Powers |

I nicked that from the Mid Cheshire MRC website
![]() Re. Gary’s 22.88 – that’s the next fastest that I’m aware of (in modern times). Bearing in mind it was Gary’s first visit and, though the track was good, conditions weren’t perfect, that record must be up for grabs. Anyone who fancies an outright hill record could do worse than enter the MCMRC event on July 18 or the Pendle one on Aug 15th?

Excellent - if we can each convince 14 people to turn up we could have an event!

Never the less 22.88 with an 1100 is pretty awesome!

I hear that Steve Day reset the double-lapper outright record yesterday - 49.21s. Well done Steve!
