Daft question but?........

The black cling film stuff that everyone uses to protect tyres , what's it called and where do you get it from. Havin purchased new slicks for the old mallock at shelsley thought it about time they had some tlc and make em last!

I beieve it is simply black cling film and used by Farmers (?) ebay might be a good starting place.

Don't bother with it myself, but v popular!

...alternatively drop Rob Way a note - his mum makes tyre covers that velcro on and off. Work well.

Looks like silage wrap to me - available from your local farmers store. Its a bit poncey for clubmans though!

And if you can do a 29 on your first practice run at Shelsley you probably don't need any more help!

Anyway, I thought new tyres were illegal in clubmans?!

I did a bulk buy a little while back so can bring you a roll to Loton at the weekend if you like. Cost is £6 and it will last you ages.

Tom is right, it is silage wrap. Can't remember who but one competitor used to buy the full width roll and get someone to bandsaw it into two.

Thanks everyone. Not going to loton so I'll get some locally. Club mans cars are allowed new tyres, but only every 5 years !! No one was more amazed at 29,s in practice than me, should have bought new wets as well for the Sunday!!, still doune in 2 weeks so little chance of rain there !!
