The updates

WE here have progressed quite a bit... as i have quite a few molds we have made a new engine cover. this turned out quite well. we have finished the dry sump system for the car some pictures to follow of this .. We are also getting some of the upgraded front wing end plates from Del at DJ.. these have been designed by Simon Mcbeath...some on this forum may have a set already.. so next is the electrics... Gary Rowe a great whizz at wireing cars and also a motec dealer is taking care of this already a great job Dad and i have just finished the mock up of the dash surround ... this looks great . to it will be made from carbon on monday...Painting of car ... choice of color this has been a point of discussion these past weeks... so youll all have to wait ..though a couple of forum members know what colors we are using the color will look striking.....

397.jpg these show the beams engine from both intake and headers the engine is now at Moe engines for a full rebuild ... this has been a major task to fit this engine and most of our time has been spent here..

Good work, but I don't like the look of that top engine mount to the cam cover, may as well not bother, or is there something else that I can't see?

Top Mount

You cannot not bother, there is not much else except for a side frame on a Toyota installation. The engine is obviously tall for a 97 installation as the top plate is normally flat. Most 97 cam covers are very low being specially made like the Speiss Opel cover.

I would probably think again about the angled connections to the top of the tub.
