I am on a 1972 Hillman Avenger.

Seem fine on short runs but not sure on a few laps of Castle Combe.

I'm only doing short runs.
Loton Park, Shelesley and Prescott
No time to get heat into the tyres so I was trying to find out how well these work

Hi

Don't think many people will have run them as although the CR311 is on List 1B, the soft compounds arn't E marked so therefore you can't run them in roadgoing - or you couldn't last season anyway - as I believe there was some folk saying Dunlop were going to get them done?

The popular options were either the soft Kumhos (V70's?) or Avon ZZR in A24 compound in the road going kits last season, plus the usual suspects of Toyo 888's and Yoko A048's, though by the end of the season it was mostly the first two.

Softest Dunlop CR311 which is "E" marked is the R08 compound. Road going 1600cc class winner here in Malta for the last 3 years has been running them. Only problem is that the "E" marked ones are only available in 4 sizes: 215/45R13, 225/45R13, 215/45R15, 225/45R15. Over here no other "E" marked tyre gets anywhere close to them.

R12's are the softest emarked.

Been running various compound CR311s for years including X22s

Kumhos and R888's not a patch on them in my opinion, especially in the wet, but there are plenty of others who disagree.

Yes I think they are the best tyre for my car if you need something that is road legal.

This footage is in the wet with 22s as moulded, uncut

I'm running X22's on the Micra, although only used them for 40second runs. Very nice grip from cold (after tyre warming obv).

Didn't feel any movement in the car with them on and stuck like brown smelly stuff on the damp patches I encountered.

Please correct me if i am wrong.
If i run in C(iv) modified series production sports cars over 2000cc i don't need to run on e marked tyres ?
So i think i can run x22 compound

Sounds about right but bear in mind that your class rivals will probably be on slicks
