Just had a nose at the Teletext and the FIA have now decided to go back to the points system, following several complaints from drivers/teams and the FODA...

The FIA has responded to FOTA's claims, suggesting that its World Motor Sport Council that voted for the changes earlier this week was under the impression that the teams had supported the 'winner takes all' proposal put forward by Bernie Ecclestone.

In light of complaints from leading figures, the FIA has now said that if the teams are unhappy then the introduction of the wins systems will be delayed until 2010.

"If, for any reason, the Formula One teams do not now agree with the new system, its implementation will be deferred until 2010."

So the teams don't like it so it won't happen this year - but they are doing in next year anyway. I guess the teams have to work to the rules of the championship but I can see why they so often seem fed up with the FIA.

Leading figures is it the team that starts with the letter F this would not surprise me because they would not want to be beaten by the half way mark by say Brawn f1 who on paper look good to win in Melb next week crystal ball....... i hope but if the rule gets put back then it wont happen and this may be a good thing.... the last two seasons have been to the wire
