You do: go to any club meet and you'll get more overtaking in one race than in a season of F1. Ditto most other motorsport disciplines.
It's why enthusiasts don't bother with F1 any more. |

In amongst all that lot there was the wonderful Gilles Villeneuve overtaking Alan Jones round the outside!
![]() Now-a-days in F1 most of the overtaking takes place in the pit-lane. On track it's just lapping the backmarkers!

What are the BBC going to do ? At least ITV had the adverts to liven it up.

Maybe more input from the so-called experts during the race. I could just imagine Eddie Jordan making comments about Ferrari and the rules!

So glad Martin Brundell was kept on. Couldn't have had a better replacement for Murray.
Also, not to go against the grain, but last season was a great F1 season, loads of overtaking. The past few seasons have been. I watch old Grand Prix whenever I can - and the majority don't seem to have much more overtaking than they do now. Sets of clips make it look much more common. Not an criticism of old F1 races obviously, but sometimes we knock the current lot too much I think. |
