Hi Ivan
Pleased to see the Fiat is home and you're making progress. Had a thought on the steering column, if you rotate the rack to alter the angle of the pinion shaft you should be able to reduce the angle of the UJ's. It may also be possible to replace the bottom UJ with a solid shaft connected to the top UJ making things a bit less complicated. Keep up the good work I'm following with great intrest! Ian |

Hi Ian
Ive seen Seven style cars with the rack on angled brackets to point the pinion up, occurred to me I may have to do this, while sitting scratching my head one day last week. Hadnt thought of the solid shaft, so thank you.... My work/progress is slow, I enjoy doing 3 or 4 hours then calling it a day. I am going through Ibruprofen like nobodies business, must be all the hooching in and out of this very small car. Thanks for all the support guys, its appreciated. Ivan |
