Graham following on from our chat today on MOT's follow this link:-[URL="http://www.transportoffice.gov.uk/crt/doitonline/bl/mottestingmanualsandguides/mottestingmanualsandguides.htm"]
just click through to the correct vehicle class then the section on lighting

it says: This inspection applies to: all vehicles, except those which either have no front or rear position lamps or have such lamps permanently disconnected, painted over or masked that are a. only used during daylight hours, and b. not used at times of seriously reduced visibility If this situation occurs, the vehicle presenter should be issued with a VT32 (advisory notice) recording the above

So basically a "daylight MOT" is a normal MOT with an advisory" Note you still need a horn, working hand brake (on a separate system) dot aproved tyres etc our local MOT test station in the next village is owned by an old friend and hes done a couple in the past..... i'll let you know what happens when i take mine!

Clutch works fine. Drove the car under its own power for the first time in over 2 years today. Brakes are fine also, and ran engine up to temp. All loaded on the trailer and ready for Silverstone tomorrow.

Drove thd fiesta again a few times at Silverstone and the signs are good. She pulled like a train when i gave her some beans in 1st and 2nd.

Nice to meet Mr btcc, sorry I ran out of time before I could make my way over to see the Mondeo.

Possibly M10, best check with HiSpec

Do you want to borrow some of the aerospace grease I use to prevent the nipples from seizing? The kind people on the shop floor at work gave me some.
