Fuel filler
As some of you may have guessed, the Fiesta is being overhauled, hence some of the questions already.
Next question: ![]() Is this legal? Ie would I need a full firewall between passenger compartment and fuel cell, and even if that were in place, what rules does the fuel filler neck break? Not my car, just another track car, but similar to how I'd like to run my filler neck to get fuel in to the ATL cell. My fuel cell is firewalled, but its a PITA removing the tailgate to get access to the filler neck. Not to mention messy when I spill fuel inside the car. What do other 'hatch back' racer'ss do? This is mine, with the firewall cover removed. ![]() Firewalled cover, in situ.

To have your fuel filler like the yellow car, you will have to put some form of metal tubing over it, like felxible heating duct to act as a form of firewall.
I know where you are coming from regards access, I refitted the OE tank for that reason plus a couple of others reasons |
