Errrrr.....well.....you probably haven't actually....and other poor b******s have probably worked a lot harder for a lot less....but then that is the joy of being a 'baby boomer'!

So....now that you are retired and have more money than you know what to do with, don't just go buying another personalised number plate for the ride-on lawnmower, or even bigger electric gates for the 'Cottage'....or worse still venture on to the Cruise Ship 'Salmonella'. No ...what you need to do is invest in an exotic Classic Italian Supercar of the kind you drooled over as a youth.

And remember as all Classic Car Motoring ends up on the back of a recovery truck (when they are not rescuing modern Alfa Romeos) then it makes sense to have something stylish and elegant to plonk on the back of the recovery wagon rather than some miserable MG or TR.

1973 Maserati Indy.....rare and most desirable specification 4.9 litre V8 & ZF manual gearbox.....which gives you sneering rights over other poor Indy owners with their miserable 4.2 & 4.7 litre Autos.....just recommissioned after some years in storage & comes with the usual eye-watering bill for £11k from Marque Specialists for fitting a new set of plugs, new pads, and a new fuel pump (OK...they may have done one or two more things ...but not much!). Metallic blue with black leather....and it really is quite a nice thing.
