Its 4 years since I last went it is THE BEST SHOW ON EARTH, you will have a great time
get a programme so you can plan a route round to see all you want, but do go in the pits and stand next to the F1 and Can-am cars (open pipes) when they start up its unreal. Wish I was going>>>>>>>>>>>>> |

Have been many times and it's always beyond my expectations. My advice? Get roving grandstand tickets and go on Friday if you can. Get there as soon as the gates open and rush down to the front of Goodwood House. It's the only way you'll get a photo of the sculpture without people round it!!!
Ultimate advice: take three days and do it all. Probably the only way you'll see everything. |

Been numerous times including commentating there in '95. It is a truly magical place.
Bit of a Shelsley of the south. And I don't liken TWFSW to many other places, as many will attest to. Toby |

Theres plenty of different types of food just up from the start line. Plenty of toilets too but I think thats just a coincidence.
![]() As said make sure you get a walk around the pits but do this as early as you can as it's really busy later. Don't worry too much about missing certain cars runs as they repeat everything at least twice over during the day. I was informed today that Button is there friday, saturday and Hamilton sunday only.

I'm going all three days this year. Have been four or five times before and for me these are the best tips I can offer, ( others may have different takes ),
1) Walk the classic sports car/F1 paddocks. Opportunity to get up close to GT40s, 917's, Can-Am stuff, LeMans racers etc,etc..+ the drivers. 2) See the modern F1 boys in both the paddock and on the hill. 3) Have a drink and poke around the concours d'elegance for half an hour or so 4)Best viewing point is up the hill past the bridge and around the bend, wait to cross over the track, get settled on grass banking in front of big screen below Bowler Wildcat demo area. Ensure you view Justin Law in Silkcut Jaguar XJR9, Rod Millen in Pikes Peak machine etc.. going for a quick run from here! 5) Walk up to see rally stage 6) Generally soak the whole thing up as it's truly special. |

get there EARLY if you must go Sunday, it gets very busy. head up the hill for the rally stage at some point during the day, take as much food and drink as you think you will need, sausage baguettes ranged from £5-8ish last year, chips (small tray) £2-3 and I think small bottles of pop were about £2.
Spent 3 days marshalling last year, the sights and sounds are absolutely magical, and I will be going back one day |
