Having just bought a 1973 C4a Chassis 73/07, I was wondering if there were any others still racing on the Hills or in Sprints?

Cant say that ive seen any Gryphon's about for a few years,Ian Blair regularly used his 1300cc version at Harewood regularly a few years ago,that was the last one i saw about

I think Peter Nelson ran one in the North West, but perhaps this is the same car that you have.

The Car i have was bought from Jeremy Bouchley who bought/imported the car from Germany in 2007 from a chap called Leo Van Sarl who owned the car from 1992 so i doubt it ........good to hear another one around as only 22 cars were built between 1969 and 1975.

If anyone has any Info/History on these cars i would be greatfull if you could pass it on to me.

Think there are a few racing in the Classic Clubmans series. The name Peter Harper springs to mind

If you google for Peter Nelson & Gryphon you will find a picture of him at Barbon in 2009. The site is zipp photography. I think Peter has just rebuilt the car after many years. He runs another clubmans too, "Haggisspeed" I think.

Is the Gryphon the dark green one on Piston Heads?

To dig deep into the history of your car you could do as i did on my Lola and ask questions on the ten-tenths web site under Motorsport history.

I did this 2 years ago and it is amazing what came out.......good and bad.
