A great end to the season, the weather was a major factor, keeping everybody guessing until the final run on Staurday and then ensuring the afternoon was well and truely written off on Sunday.

Far from being downbeat though the competition was fierce and those at the sharp end did their best, as a long standing Harewood competitor i do feel for Simon after coming so close, to finish runner-up is always a bit of a choker (i speak from experience here) but there is always next year and I reckon there is a bit more scope in the kit car record than the unlimited mod-prod record, at least for the next season or two (especially on account of the excellent job Mr Darley has done on pushing it into single seater territory!).

Anyway, well done to all those who have had an sucessful season, look forward to seeing you all in 2012 - or maybe at the doo in November?

Cheers

J

The commentary box was both dry and safe. As for my request for 'rubber plimsoles' I suspect they misunderstood what I was actually asking for!

Had a thoroughly great time, not put off much by the undecided weather, and a great game of cat and mouse with a fellow competitor. Lost out in the end and failed to catch him on slicks for the last run when the anticipated rain failed to appear. Sunday saw me in a class of one and the weather stayed brilliant. Just need a few more revs which should hopefully appear over the winter. Ready for next May/June. a preliminary calendar has been published for next year in France.....And a well done to Cathy...
p.s. Steve and I were swapping weather forecasts which I was recieving from Smiles who was watching the satelites in Devon.....

Really enjoyed Sunday beat my PB but was in practice Just a shame I fell off on my last dry run, but no suprises there.
Some brilliant wet showboating from the 1B rear wheel lads, kept everyone entertained
