just leave your go nads at home for a day, you'll be fine then

Jeez yeah it was quite a day! Rain through practice, gazeebos blow away in the gales, long delays, loads of issues for competitors (particlularly in my class). My cloud definitely had a silver lining as I took my first win.
My thoughts go out to Graham Smith who would probably have taken the class, but for engine probs from practice(and a subsequent an early bath). However my symapathy really goes to Roland Knott, who for the second time in as many meetings travelled up from Leamington Spa only to be sidelined with mechanical maladies far beyond his control. No-one should have Roland's kind of luck! If you're on here Roland please come back soon and give it another go we need competitors like you in the class!
Craig (Powers) gave me a good run for my money which made my first win even more memorable - cheers Craig.

Richard

Hi Andy
thanks for the input... do you mean the second part of quarry just before the finish?

Richard

Hi Rich, it was aimed at Si actually, coasting round in his barge. Quite a few bury it over the line, but if you won your class, you can't be doing much wrong.

I have a problem with all aspects of Harewood, I always have had. It is my memesis (not referring to Rob Cappers car). I just cannot carry enough speed through all the 90 degree bends. I am not smooth enough.

It is not as though the place frightens me. But I just cannot get any faster with the limited track time available.

Such an infuriating place....

...perhaps Richard will show me how it is done. 58's in relatively slow conditions was very good indeed. BTDBTDBTD was in the low 55's.

Craig

ps, thanks for the hint re fluid from car. Non return valve now put on fuel filler cap and tiny air hole blocked. Lets see if that solves it.

Any help most welcome

I'll have to get through quarry differently. I'm still on the power to the middle of the corner, which means slowing down, dropping a gear and looking to turn in over the line. Too much in such a short space maybe.
I'm concentrating on not running off of the left side of the track when I should be looking right for the entry over the line.

I've been treating it as two corners when it might be quicker to treat it as one long corner.

Very frustrating, but the best corner at Harewood
