Harewood - August 2011

Two great days at Harewood.

Saturday we had showers in the morning and during the lunch break. Many cars visited the scenery and the delays meant that there were onlky two timed runs in teh afternoon. The first timed runs took place on a damp/drying track, the fourth car on track went off! By the time the second runs commenced the track was dry. There were a couple of new class records plus a shed-load of new PBs.

Sunday and again there were occasional showers but there were fewer incidents - sixth car off the line for the first timed runs spun off (nothing changes!) This meant that the organisers could allow three timed runs as time wasn't an issue. There were three new class records and another collection of PBs.

Reports will appear in Speedscene in due course.

yep great weekend, I think we got off lucky with the weather as it could have been a lot worse, as always great organisation and running of the event by the team there

best run from the weekend 60.89s http://youtu.be/41XGmdzNFWg which was .6s under Pb from last year so quite happy with that

all in all it was a cracking weekend for me too with 2 2nd places, still i was gutted it dried out for run 2 on Saturday as i seemed to really make the most of the damp in our class.

then after conditions were clearly favoring PB beaters i really put some thought/effort into cracking my own time only to finding myself a lot slower and getting angry as i crossed the line lol

Awesome weekend as usual , well chuffed with my 3rd in class and 10th BTDBTDBTD on the saturday. Good weekend for the missus as well broke the 60 sec barrier after 3 years of trying . Only downside gave mate the drive on the sunday and he seriously kicked my a**e in first ever drive in my car nice to know what the car can do with a decent driver in it . Only have another 2 secs to find :-( but seem to be finding big chunks all the time this year so who knows
