Help Please with a mini and the blue book
Hello, I am new to this forum. I have been attending Hill Climbs for many years now and have finally decided to give it a go in an old mini that was used for sprinting.
From what i understand of the blue book i will end up running in the Sports Libra class as the car has been modified quite a bit. The rear bench and pockets have been cut out. The Rear boot floor and battery box has been removed and replaced with ali. There is a rear beam on the back with coil overs all round. It is not road registered. Engine is a 1380 with webber and bulkhead modifications. So a have a few questions. Who is best for a Roll Cage, Does it need to be FIA national or international? Do i need to have a fuel cut off inside the car? The car was last on the track 5 years or so ago and went through scrutineering at Curborough with no problems, is there anything massive that has changed in the regs that i might of missed. I will get the local scrutineer to come and have a look before i attend a meeting but would just like to get as much sorted as possible. Thanks Andy |
