Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't it in the deep south, i.e. near Dumfries, not far from M6 & Carlisle so no excuses if you are an Englander like me?
I would rather sleep with a lady in an old Nomex nightie than you in your best suit. I couldnt see anything resembling paddock facilities on the plan. I reckon it's about 4 1/2 hours from my place.....

We went for a recce today and the hill looks briliant
It will need a fair bit of repair to the surface and some armco here and there but it has plenty of potential.
I have never seen the place before but we drive by loads
Next time I will take my camera and pushbike to get you all excited

The old farm sheds at Low Auldgirth (which just happens to be on the start line) are no longer in use for animals or machinery as they were in the past
and the landowner has confirmed that they may be used on hillclimb days.

This means we will have a considerable area of hard standing paddock facilities for quite a few cars, perhaps 20 or even more, as well as the grass paddock, which was always used in the past.

Earlier poster, is there a contact number for the supplier in Longtown?.

The one in Longtown is the place for armco, that's where my old autograss club got theirs from. The one in Carlisle is for car spares. On the track front,I was near Thornhill last Tuesday so took the oppertunity to have a look at the track and while the surface needs repaired it's not that big an undertaking.
Best of luck and you can put me down for an entry as well.

Wouldn't this be an ideal oportunity for one of these scrap merchants to get in on the ground floor with some free advertising by 'loaning'/'leasing' the required amount of Armco on a yearly basis. Got to be worth asking.....

I was at High Auldgirth today the club needed a noisy race car to do a bit of noise testing so I got my Minibusa out far a few runs
Most of the track is pretty good but some repairs are needed in places.
