re
Thankyou so much for posting this video John. It was the one thing that made me decide to get involved in the French hill climb scene and I would advise anyone to make the trip across to France to try it. You dont have to drive all the way to Gemenos, you can try my favorite at St.Goueno in Brittany, 3.5 kms of sheer speed. The organisation is rated as the best in the French championship scene. I could go on telling you how good it is, but that wont leave anything for John to say later.....

I hires Cuborough this year to sort the Lola's chassis and ran the course several times in reverse, all a very different experience.
At that venue the running of the site is undisturbed. H&S would stop things as armco is assembled so the colliding car does not strike an edge where hitting it the other way the edge will dig into the car (and maybe you). Any club that has been asled to hold a Downhill gravity racers event will have said no purely on this point alone. (soap box racers) I think that curb could become refreshed by such an event, especially a double lapper. Graham. |

I hired Curborough a few years ago to run a new engine in. We had noticed a couple of vehicles parked up at the hairpin and a large camera set up, and you imagine my surprise when rounding the Molehill at speed to find a Ford Puma being driven the wrong way by a girl who was 'testing' the car for Granada's Men and Motors show, scarey.....Incidently, the local cycle club always run their races the 'wrong' way.....
