Im curious (again)

Nothing stupid this time though...

It's a common car at Shelsley, it's black and red, and has kart wheels and looks like something out of star-wars... http://2t4t.dnsalias.com/2007%20Hill...s/PICT7897.jpg (that one)

Anyone know what class that's running?

* If anyone wants to know why I want to know, I'm having a browse through 2t4ts photos and that one kinda confused me as to which class its in (all the others are pretty straight forward

It looks like Karl Schollar, in which case I think it runs in the one of the smaller engined single seater racing car classes, but might also be a Shelsley Special.

I'm sure Iranoff will be along soon to correct me.

It is indeed Karl Schollar's device and is known as the Spectre now in Mk 7 guise.

It now runs in the up to 1100cc class with what is declared as a 919cc engine.

Here it is in this Saturdays merged class at Shelsley Walsh

CLASSES H & I (merged): RACING CARS up to 1100cc

93 Campbell Deas (Droitwich) Nutsan Muffin 1052
794 Bill Chaplin (Bridgwater) Force DS600 600
94 Toby Moody (Earls Common Force DS600 600
95 Brian Sanders (Kempsey) Jedi Catpol 1100
96 Chris Martin (Kidderminster) Hi-Tech 1100HS 929
97 Karl Schollar (Pucklechurch) Spectre Mk 7 919
98 Chris Aspinall (Coventry) Jedi Mk. IV 998

C'mon Ayrton, who is your money on? Not Campbell, he has a slight weight disadvantage.

Dont get too excited It may look like a Kart but it isnt really. There some things which make it a racing car.

Hasta

There is, of course, a special class for X-Wings and Tie-Fighters (spelling ?) at SW

I think that the sci-fi reference you are looking for is actually Davros from (the proper old) Dr Who.

I am interested to see how Campbell fits into Muffin - a mechanic with tyre levers may be on hand.

We've already worked this out, somebody has got to smear him with vaseline then we will lower him in with a block and tackle hung from one of the shed beams, extraction by the same method provided that the shed frame can take it.

No pressure on either him or Devon Chard, both of them got named in Motorsport News this week. I cannot imagine how that happened...
