Loton - Afternoon at the museum

Hi,

Had a good day at Loton, an interesting course! Second run was looking better than previous runs until braking for museum... Timed 2 video

The rescue and medic crews were totally professional and very thorough, I felt well looked after! I was most impressed by their methods of checking for proper mental function by their critique of my driving style ;-). Seriously, thanks!

BTW: For those interested in the data side of things, the grass/stone bank caused the car to launch and land with a fair bit of force. The datalogger has a 2g peak range so all I can say is vertical acceleration hit 2g about 8 times, the longest sustained for at over a tenth of a second which was hitting the bank. Peak longitudonal g was only 1.36g (so just like hard braking on track tyres?)

I was impressed by the fact that Matt's only worry was missing next week's trip to France!

Steve....Not quite my only worry....I had to worry about getting home that night as well!

Things looking good for France. Damage mostly cosmetic, some suspension mounting point welding, a bumper, and maybe a radiator will be enough to get me going. Won't look pretty but should go ok. No chassis damage other than mounting point for rad.

CNHSS1 - The video overlay is by Track Vision. Takes exported data from a large number of data loggers. I use a DL1.

That is good news; anyway the 'scars' will be a talking point.

I am already looking forward to the on-board footage from 'le trip'.

Pretty straight forward to use export data as a csv sync of video and data and that's it. They have a demo version that you can try. If we're ever at the same event I'll show you how it works.
