Loton Park 10th July - Thankyou!
I would like to thank all the marshals and officials for being so helpfull and understanding when my car decided to dump 8 litres of oil on the track first thing Saturday morning - I was absolutely mortified.. Apologies also to all the subsequent competitors who may have been compromised. The problem was caused by a faulty component in the oil pump which caused instant loss of oil pressure at around 8k rpm...Needless to say, the engine is severely damaged. This was the first outing for the engine and it had been on the dyno and rolling road with no problems.... Thanks again to all who cleared up and tried to get me running again, especially Tim Edwards who was brilliant. Cheers, Steve.

It's all in a days work for us
 Although it would have been nice no to have to clear it up it was blindingly obvious you didn't do it on purpose so no need to feel bad about it... Hope you manage to get the engine sorted soon as I do like to see you drive the old MKI with gusto
