Loton - thanks to Tony Adams

as I'd broke the Jedi (bugger !), Tony Adams kindly lent me a drive in his OMS - just like to say many thanks - it's what makes our sport special...and well done Tony on a new PB !!!

When I saw Tony after his PB run he was still shaking but grinning broadly.

I know you guys probably think us photographers are quite blasé about the drivers that we take photos of but I'd just like to say that I'm in total awe of the men and women who hurl these incredible cars up the hillsides and their bravery is only exceeded by the family spirit of our sport.

Yesterday was a cracking meeting despite the wind trying to remove us all into the next county.

Yes, don't knock it - it was great to get the extra runs and a practice on Sunday is great to help 'get your eye in'!

Actually, I found it was windy in all parts of the paddock... thanks to Dave 'Goosey' Wilson for that

Had fun even though I was slower than a very slow thing... ah well...

Steve

do you think we'll ever see the day where we get a Sunday morning practice at Shelsley or Prescott? It's great for clearing the hangover...

...sadly, I think not..

Gurston and Wiscombe don't have any neighbours on the door step.

The only reason for the extra practise's was lack of entries.

Gurston also start at the crack of sparrows if my memory serves me well . Not nice if you need an hour and a half to get set up before the first run !

I had a brief chat with Tony at the end of the meeting and expressed the view that having you in the car was the main reason he set his PB. Having a fellow competitor pushing you in another car is one thing, having a co-driver pushing you really does up the concentration levels.

Congratulations BTW on a fine performance in a 'strange' car, the switch did cause a slight blip in the commentary boxes but we soon worked out whose car you were driving.

Despite being 'inside' I was certainly aware of the rather windy conditions and full marks to the marshals who were stood trackside for most of the day and did their usual spot-on job.
