Marg Mather

Since I heard early this morning I have been experiencing a mixture of emotions. Great sadness at the loss of someone I was proud to call a friend, gratefulness for having known her and emptiness at knowing we will never see her again.

Thank you to a lady that showed me endless kindness, offered an ear to moan into, gave me great advice when it was asked for, made me cry with laughter on many occasions, lead me astray more than once, had a smile no matter how she was feeling, always had time for me even if she didn't really and for enriching my life with your friendship.

My thoughts and love go to Pat, Cheryl, Tania and all her family.

I raise a glass to a lady who will never be forgotten.

I couldnt have put it better. Marg will be missed by all but never forgotten. She was like a Mom to us all. Our thoughts go out to Pat and all the family.

The news I didn't want to hear came this morning and like Shireen I am still reeling.
Shocked that it happened so quickly after the year that she has had.
I shall miss her as we all will. The 'hill' won't be the same without her.

I would raise a glass to her Matt, but did she leave us anything to put in it?
Not likely.

I'm proud to have been able to have called you a friend.

My life is a lot fuller having known you and a lot emptier knowing we won't be sharing the laughter together.

You will always be our number one rescue totty.

I will miss you Marg

I can bearly believe we have lost "Our Marg" her loss will touch every one of us but in different ways.......Marg was one of the true characters of Shelsley Walsh, most of us are just ordinary folk who help out on the hill but Marg was a diamond shinning brightly....keep shinning Marg your smile is in our hearts for ever..........

Shelsley Walsh will not be the same in future. - and it's only a month since I was sitting there talking to Marg. What a lot can change in such a short time.

Well done Mrs BlackX for putting so well into words the feelings that we all share but I for one cannot adequately express.

Adam rang an hour ago to say Marg's funeral will be at 1500 on Monday 6 October at Alford Crematorium, Lincs. (about halfway between Spilsby and Mablethorpe). Family flowers only, donations to either MacMillan Nurses or Marie Curie Cancer Care will be welcome. Dress code is nothing sombre or dark.

Please pass on the information to anyone who knew Marg.

I count myself lucky to have memories of such a warm, witty and sincere lady.

Bless you Marg.
