I ran stock fuel tank in mine but with a swirl pot in the wheel well to enable me to run just a gallon for sprints ..........or you could get a Spec c in tank plastic collector which sits on the bottom of the pump where the filter bag is

I run a 30litre ATL D cell in the spare wheel well.
Built in collector and swirl pot.

I had a stock tank and a Walbro inside and as long as you raced with 1/4 tank all was well. You could foam/ball the stock tank and maybe run even less.
The wheel well tank is ace, but could you spend the £££ on something better for speed?

Hi Graham,

The car no longer has a spare wheel well, as the boot floor has been cut away as part of the wieght loss program, saved just under 5kg after rework of the space left, have now sourced a fuel tank which installs in the OE location.

John

During the festive season a set of 330mm x 28mm rota`s + Alcon GrpN Tarmac calipers became availabe, approx half the wieght of the std subaru 4 pot setup, the only down side is I will have to run 17" rims, but then they could even be as big as 18", photo`s to follow once fitted.

Found out over the xmas break the the garage where the car is kept, is closing down, so its now a mad panic to get my garage at home cleared out as this will now be its new home, (the wifes not going to like this, means I will be at home even more, LOL), going to be a busy couple of days, good job she is away working for the next few days.

Regards,

John

Hi Ian,
Yes it came out of a writen off rally car, less than 500 stage miles, but as a precaution the heads will be coming off for a look see, and cosworth head gaskets refitted, along with new cam belt and HP oil pump, this will get the car up and running so we can sort out out the chassis setup.

Exactly what do you mean by "pinned through the middle?"
Subaru blocks are in two halves, as it is a boxer engine, so they are bolted together transversely in a horizontal plane.
