Thought i would post an update as the car is about 98% finished now. I would have posted sooner but it's been all hands on deck as our 1st event is on the 12th June. The engine is in and all the jobs done on it. The engine turns over but we have not finished the fuel lines yet so has not been run, hopefully tomorrow it will be. The gear linkage is made and in place. Just needs to be secured once we are happy with everything. The front suspension has been revamped with some better coilovers and adjustable brackets. The brakes are all in and piped up but we need to fit a bigger master cylinder as last week when we bled we found we had too much pedal travel. The body is going away on monday to be painted which leaves us with really a load of little jobs to get done such as fitting the gauges etc over the next 10 days or so.

Not only is the frame coming together now but with the help of two other sprinting friends the body has been painted. The pics do not do justice to the colour, it is actually a lot brighter.

Got the shell home tonight, here it is on it's first fitting since painting.

Oh not again, these comments have already been answered in the thread previously.
Here is a pic taken from a low angle at the front, look at the drivers seat and where my head will be, i may not see a rabbit jumping up 10ft in front of me but corners should be ok. Yes it may not suit a couple of tracks, but i look at it this way, i've built it, not bought it, i've had fun doing it and there is more fun to come driving it and developing it, If it does not work i can make another one, the fun for me is in taking part.
