I recomend you use old tyres for testing then it wont matter if they wear, and with a bit more sliding you will get more experience (skill).
Maybe then you will get through the first competition lap without a crash
Allan
Ps I want to be there so no sneaky testing

I think we all want to be there for the maiden voyage.

What if the wind catches him again & he needs help loading it onto a trailer ......

Teesside Autodrome is lots of fun, so with a bit of luck we can go & test there in Spring of next year.

It wasnt even a competition lap, i rolled in 1st practice.

Sounds like a good idea us all being there though it would be good if someone could take pictures/video etc for us to view roll angles etc.

As for tyres for testing i was planning on using the smaller, harder avons that i have, the ebay £15 specials. There is no way i can afford to use the sprint avons for testing especially at elvington.

But every cloud has a silver lining ............ both times you failed to clock a decent (or any) time this year I won the Libre over 1700cc trophy.

At other events where you beat all the over 1700cc Mini's there was always a single seater running & they got the trophies.

Proudly I display my 'winner' trophies & tell tall stories of my great driving prowess.

This is tomorrows job. The roof vent has arrived and being off a wrc it's surprising how well it fits. It also came with the africa safari extension but we are going to leave that off, i would need to find about an extra 20bhp to overcome the drag. I know this roof vent is not really required for sprinting/hillclimbing but i hope to use the car quite a bit on trackdays and i expect the car to get a bit hot with the exhaust running through the inside. Even hotter with 3 layers of nomex, fireproof shreddies, gloves, boots, balaclava etc

This is the africa extension, and you can maybe see why we are leaving it off
