Which was why I changed it. I've never been pulled up over it and to be honest if they put me in mod prod I may as well give up as i've absolutely no chance.

I agree totally , is why i wanted it out on the saxo. The argument that was put against it was that i was reducing the weight, and also that as it was high in the car the weight reduction would have more effect ect.

Sunroofs

This has probably already been covered but my understanding is that if the model of car you run was also available without a sunroof (i.e an option that could be deleted as it was in the 205/106 gti etc) then you are OK to reskin/plate the roof.

I wouldn't risk running a car with a glass sunroof in any circumstances, regardless of the regs.
I lost a mate years ago in a road accident where the car stayed on it's wheels but the body deformed and split the sunroof.
Am I correct in thinking that hill/sprints are the only track-based motorsport that would entertain a glass sunroof?

think that is correct James, but unfair to those where there was never an option to buy without a sunroof, safety should overide the equipment rule in those cases
