Trevor sliced a big chunk off his PB, I think he must come from another planet's moon. Wallace is merely from another country...

As you may remember Martin told me he was not sure where it came from either as he thought he had it wrong at Crossing as he skimmed the left bank. I think I had the best view in the place being raised up high above everybody else and well forward at Crossing exit. It looked perfect to me and not even that fast, often the sign of the very best run. I suspect he would tell pupils not to run that close but, well, when you are the master, you can do it.

It was a few seconds before The Sturmanator and I twigged that the record had fallen, maybe because we were just not expecting it. I normally have some memorable phrase ready to go for those occasions but it just passed me by this time.

Some people who were at a the work party day early last season may recall me rehearsing a 22.99 run over the PA, little realising that it would soon be better than that.

The data shows him getting off the throttle after clipping the inside at Crossing, and the timing shows a (relatively) low speed at Ess approach. I'll let you speculate how much that might add up to for next time.

Martins record run from last October was an out of the blue experience as well....
He just seems to turn it up a notch or two when it matter most...

Trevor was mighty through Kennel with barely a lift for Crossing in the first round (we having a saying on the unit for drivers who drive the hill like that "He aint 'fraid of no ghost") and we say that quite often about Trevor but in the second round there was a biiiiiiiiig lift for Crossing.......
So big in fact it made us look twice
You get used to hearing the engine tones and when drivers lift or feather and when you hear a noise(or lack of noise) where there usually is it makes the heart miss a beat

As for Wallace....Well......
Nothing I could write here would do him justice.....

And you should stop being so modest Paul...
I reckon without the thought in the back of your mind that the car needs to be OK for someone else to drive you could go even quicker.....

I witnessed Martin's hill record breaking run from just above Eddie the Eagle's Nest. He used every inch of track exiting Kennel and was so close to the inside bank at Crossing I could have sworn he put a groove in it! After that he just hammered up to the Esses (137mph through the trap?). After that I was reliant on the engine note and Good old Max at Top Esse to chart his progress.

Trevor actually just looked super smooth.

Wallace is from another planet! He has really put Tony Hunt's similarly powered Force into the shade.

The really scary one was Willem Toet who seemed to have lost none of his rapid reactions and boy did he need them as I thought he was destined for a biggie as he exited Kennel!

I guess that's at least another tenth then.
