Olivers Mount

I'm thinking about going to the Auto66 event.
Having watched on YouTube. How do you get on turning around at the top
with a single seat car with no reverse. It looks quite tight.
I have to think about it, turning around at the top at Gurston.
So how do people go on at this venue? Get out and push, I don't mind, but don't
want to get in the way.

There is quite a wide bubble at the end of the finishing straight where you can demonstrate your opposite lock turning to the few spectators / get out and push. Theres plenty of road afte the finish so you wont be in anyones way. You all turn round and then queue on the side of the road until the batch has finished and then return down the track to the paddock via Mere Hairpin

PS - its a fantastic hill and very relaxed event where you are likely to get lots of runs

Theres a paddock marshal at the top all the time he will help if you need it, but if you take a wide line I am sure you will get round ok.

There is insufficient room to turn a car on full lock. Flailing the back end out uder power is a bit naughty and not recommended.

The paddock marshall will assist. He is permanently there. There is a slight gradient in the turning circle and once you suss this the car will partly roll back on its own, helping the overall process and helping the marshall.

Thanks for the info. I was worried I might not be able to get it turned around, and cause a disruption to the event.

I always enyoy watching you guys in the 16V minis.
and I love the straight cut gearbox whine.
Allan, its always impressive to see your Busa Mini go off theline. I've been lucky enough to be lined up after you a couple of times this year.
Keep up the good work; always an impressive display.

Craig
