In our sport I think that word needs always to be qualified by the championship(s) in which a competitor is entered. i.e. Leaders contender etc.

Settle down now children, let's not have a fight over the relative merits of one or other branch of the sport.
These flatlanders can't be expected to come to terms with corners looking down on them without re-education, you know. Likewise us hill country folk don't take to not seeing where the corners go until we're at the apex. When I go to some windswept ex-airfield, I find there is to much sky. Now, if they planted a few trees up one side that would be better. Better yet a large tree or two close to the track and I would submit an entry.

I didn't think I'd ever expressed a preference for airfield venues. Unless it's for runway length. And apparently short sprints, that I like don't count. In fact they are subject to derision by certain members. I'd love to go to France but since I'm not going to Doune. Which I'd like to, I'm unlikely to go to France either. And I don't like driving on building sites except with plant. Based on that we could have a sprint at Donington, a few hours with a Bomag and few ton of Bardons finest. Flatland see here, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flatland Apologies, if I've been misleading you. |
