IIRC it uses a alcohol fuel lubricant, as the methanol is very dry it washes the oil off the bores, so this helps lubricate the bores

There is also another liquid that can be added which makes the Methanol burn with a visible flame, which can only be a good thing......

The add in we use is called ALKY available from 76 Racing, a Yank product which lubes & burns with a flame. About £15 to treat 200 ltrs.

Seriously it is a good thing to add something so methanol can be seen burning.

I just look to see if the driver is rolling him/herself around on the floor for apparently no reason whatsoever and that's a good indication there is a problem
