It certainly ran well the last time Willem drove it.
If I have understood correctly the engine went on a dyno after a refresh some time last year, (minus the turbo`s) and produced figures that suggested all was well.

As I have said before I am new to this car, and there for in need of input mode, so any info would be of use.

As for the gentleman by the name of Willem, would this be Mr Towett by any chance.

I belive the car used to run with a supercharger pre John (Mad Dog) Jones ownership, so any links to the cars history would be of use to our ambitions.

John

I thought it ran with twin turbo's when Willem Toet ran it. I could be wrong.

From what I know it had a few running problems and was taken to Cosworth who sorted it out. Seemd to run well after that.

Those more knowledgable about this are all at Gurston but will be back sunday night/monday to correct me.

Thanks for the info, and the spelling of Mr Toet`s name.

Soz. I was in mid-post before I realised they were that huge. I may post a couple more but I promise to behave next time.

Incidentally it was cold and wet at Gurston today so I gave up by midday. Tomorrow promises better weather but there were some serious misfires (no surprise) to get sorted first.

Chassis.....Pilbeam MP88
Engine......DH Cosworth 2.65ltr V8, (Ex Paul Tracy Indi Car)
ECU.........Pectal 06, (still awaiting comfirmation as wich dash number)
Fuel.........Bio (Methonal)
Driver.......John (Mad Dog) Jones
Crew........Phill & my self John

Our objective is to get the car up the hill and back safe so we can tick off another box, we are not going to set the world alight, but sure as hell going to be having FUN.

A big thanks to john and phil for putting there faith in me, and my wife who puts up with me talking clingon when I return home from a w/e end away.

More to follow soon

John
Not sure where you got your facts from ???
The engine is an XD
Who ever told you it was anything to do with Paul Tracy ???
It runs a Pectel SQ6 ecu .
Willem Toet still owns half the car so be careful what you do to it without someones permission.
I built the entire backend of the car so if you want any real info please ask me .
Regards Bill

That puzzled me too Bill, but I knew someone would be along with the facts.
