Hi Carl,

Agree to a degree, the turbos used on this car however are not the run of the mill off the shelf item, which in turn gives me even more problems, they are infact WRC spec from early ford focus, and at this time I am still researching data/spec sheets for these said items, (reminder fo mysef, still awaiting update of this from M-sport) so you see, there is still so many unknown answers to be found before we will ever get to the bottom of this project, but I for one wish to stick with it, thats if they will have me, (John/Willem/Phil and of course Jan).

Regards,

John

?Includining getting rid of ...

"the elctric pump on start up" & "when you turn it off"

(post 219)

- just wondering if that pump gets in the way & that obstruction isn't noticed until you turn it off & then it really gets in the way.

How did the test go?

I've deleted everything else I wanted to say.

So how did the test go ?

Give me some good news.

Show me the silver lining and the light at the end of the tunnel.

Tell me a faint heart never won a fair maiden, and all's well that ends well.

Or is it still knackered ? One of Shakespeare's less well known witticisms.

Still (as you put it) knackered, hope to get it out at loton to give the new fuel system a try out, if we get all the parts in time, and a test day is successful.

John

id always KISS the turbo setup .

your displacement isnt too dissimalar to a 2.5 16v redblock which can make north of 700hp on E85 . they only run one turbo .

i dont think focus wrc turbos were suited to a 1.3 litre , running less boost .

wrc cars run 2 bar or thereabouts .

only advantage you have is running methanol , saving intercooler space .

id say , if you do get it running right , itll be pretty awesome .

Agree with every thing you say, having just returned today from a week on a greek beach with loads of time on my hands, I spent many hour with calculator, pen and paper (while the wife was sun bathing) and now beleave there is a way forward, thus meaning awesome could be just around the corner, now I have to convince John and Willem that it will work.

Big thanks to Dave for the footage, picked out one big change during the last 12 months that may have a bareing on the situation we finds our selfs in, not having yet spoken to John or Willem, but a run at loton should still be possible.

Regards,

John

Having just spoken to John, (who also has just got back from a week away) He is chomping at the bit, the fuel pump has been with Mr Toet and his engineers for the last week or so for overhaul and testing, so fingers crossed, the fuel system is in the process of being redesigned, as well as a chassis realignment, all this means we have entered this w/e`s event at shelsley to give it a shake down in readyness for the final round of the BHC at Loton, in which both Willem and John we be driving, do I have a good feeling about it, YES, do I think its going to work, only time will tell, fingers crossed the weather is kind to us all.

Regards,

John
