Prelimarly findings ref the fuel pump show that at best it will only support fuel supply in the old fuel system design around 500+Bhp, but with the new revised system it should achieve above 600Bhp, but I still beleave we are still 4 ltrs per min short, to produce the figures that can be achived by this engine/turbo setup, the search for a F1 pump so far has proved fruitless, but we will keep looking, on a more positive note, the fuel return has improved, just means we have to reduce boost levels (circa 1.2 bar) till such time when a capable fuel pump can be sourced to feed the beasts hunger, so the Top 12 is still out of our reach for the time being,

regards,

John

I think it was Rob Harriman's RA that did Epynt a few years ago.

Most capable car / driver combo.

He now plays good golf!

Hi Graham,

I bought the shell off Rob when he split the car, but due to work/project commitments its had to take a place a the back of the workshop, but now its alive again, so over the winter months it will see the light of day again.

John

I was marshalling at Top S and it sounded and looked great until John was accelerating up the finish straight. Then the old problem returned.

Certainly looks like you're moving in the right direction.

Sunday, a decision was taken to disregard the law of phyisics with regards to how the 4 stage pump works, we decided to repipe to convert it to a pair of pumps running in parreral into a single feed pipe, thus using same pressure but increasing the flow rate, again a increase in flow rate was there to be seen, feed back from john (driver) the car feels quicker (even though the sector times dont show it) so a few more days in the workshop and 1 more event to go, I still beleave in the concept, but not in its presant form, a number of key issues have to be sorted before next season.

Regards,

John
