Just a short one, John`s w/e at Shelsley Walsh did not go as hoped, a number of issues came to light, but at least he did achieve a PB, so all was not lost, hope Dave and the boy`s get the parts in time for Prescott.

This w/e see`s John and the team heading to Prescott, spent a few hours yesterday at Dave`s workshop having a chat about how things are going, with the new Turbo`s installed prior to Shelsley it seems the boost is back and highlited that the spark plugs are past there sell by date, ie under load the spark was being blown out, sourcing a replacement set has proved to be yet another challenage, having spoken to Cosworth UK they said as the engines were built by Cosworth USA they could not help out, as they had no knowlage of them, so dave has been in touch with them and a replacement set + spares are heading this way from across the pond, seeing and hearing the car run yesterday he could very well be on for another PB for the car, its a painfully slow progress for all concerned, but things are coming together, long may the sound of this car be heard on the hills.

Viewed one way this has been a monumental pain for you all but I think to see it that way misses the point. Anyone could just bolt in something standard and "do OK" but where is the challenge in that? To take on and solve such an engineering puzzle must (eventually I hope) be very satisfying - even if the plugs do have to come from the States! I guess it depends on what each individual gets out of the sport - just the driving or the enjoyment (?!) of the tinkering too. Each to their own but for me, having followed the thread, I think this is a fantastic project. I hope it runs well at Prescott and will keep an ear out for it.

Was imformed at the w/e that John`s PB was in fact not comfirmed, due to a error in the timing admin input.

Just to confirm JJ did do a PB in May this year..........in my Jedi Suzuki 988cc He made it to the top under full power on each run he started !

A very frustrating 2011 was had by all, hope to speak to John and Dave over the coming days to see if the car will be out on the hills in 2012, will be a sad day if it does not show.
